The process of casing coloured crystal is the most difficult process of whole crystal product manufacture as we already mentioned in glassworks. The process difficulty of coloured cased crystal in cutting is much higher too in comparison with process of regular clear crystal.

Because of the colour layer the glass-cutter can´t see trough the product and so he has to have much more experiences than cutting clear crystal. Glass-cutter realizes that if he doesn´t estimate correct depth of the cut he can cut trough inside. That product is devalued and must be discarded then. Cutting is done under running water by cutting wheels tipped by tech. diamonds and the cut off material is washed away into the filtration. Thanks to that the dust is not releasing anymore as it had been for centuries when the glass-cutters were cutting with dry stone wheels.
